Description: Performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs on low-end equipment. Performs modular swap on designated equipment. Assists in hardware and operating system installations and installs basic equipment modifications. Assists in site preparation, which includes the laying of cable, staging of equipment, and minor testing of equipment. Responds to all customer concerns or problems by resolution or by escalating them to the proper associate or team member. Has ownership of customer problems or incidents until the situation has been resolved to the customer's satisfaction. Reports to Territory Manager. Requires PC skills, tools, and basic electronic skills, including basic tools such as volt/amp meters. Also requires learning ability, numerical reasoning, and commitment to customers and quality. Requires a High School degree or equivalent. Highly desirable to have education and training in electronics beyond the high school level or job-related experience in electronics or electromechanical devices.
Experience Required: Good knowledge of PC/Printer systems. Basic Network patching knowledge (training will be given). Basic Novell skills. Experience of asset management systems and importance of accuracy. Proven fault finding techniques. Must be driver clean licence (over 25 for insurance purposes).
